Would you like to spend some time on Safari in the most famous game reserve on the planet? If you are joining the tour from Cape Town...
We will fly you up to Johannesburg the day before your tour commences - a quick 2 hour flight. At Johannesburg Airport, you will be met on arrival and escorted to your overnight accommodation. There you will have the remainder of day to relax and unwind. An early night is recommended! Day 1
Your Safari guide will collect you in the morning between 05:00 - 06:00 (Hence the early night!).
We depart Johannesburg, the city of Gold and head off for an adventure of a lifetime. A truly unique African experience unfolds as we enter the Kruger Park via one of the Southern gates. The Park is home to 150 species of mammal, including Africa’s famed Big Five. The staggering 507 bird species, plus the wide variety of insects, reptiles and amphibians make this the ultimate wildlife experience. We board open safari vehicles and enjoy our first exciting game drive en-route to our camp, taking in the sheer beauty of the African bush along the way. After settling into camp we venture out into the bush as we track the creatures of the night on a sunset game drive. On return we enjoy a delicious meal around the campfire. Day 2
An early rise as we depart our camp at first light for a game drive which takes us to some of the best game drive routes within the Kruger Park, giving us the opportunity to view the varied landscapes, ecosystems and abundant wildlife. The entire day is spent game viewing, bird watching and stopping off at the various waterholes en-route to our central camp. After an adventure filled day we arrive at our camp and for this evening and are greeted with the aroma of hearty meal. Day 3
Today you have the option of relaxing at the lodge, or exploring more amazing ecosystems on a game drive. This evening, we also have the opportunity to learn about Kruger's nocturnal creatures on an exciting spotlight night drive. Day 4
An early rise as we head out on a morning bush walk. Guided by qualified rangers, we learn about nature’s finer details like bird, tree and spoor identification. After breakfast, we depart the Lodge and our journey takes us through the Mpumalanga Province as we travel along the Drakensberg Escarpment to view the spectacular setting of the Three Rondawels overlooking the Blyde River Canyon. We then continue our journey en-route to Johannesburg, arriving in the late afternoon. You will stay in Johannesburg overnight with the evening free to relive every moment of your adventure with your fellow travellers... The day after your tour...
You will be escorted to Johannesburg Airport ready for your next flight if you are travelling on to Cape Town or elsewhere. For those of you returning to Cape Town, we will be there to meet you and escort you back to AVIVA House for a well-earned rest... Don't forget...
Spending time on the Endangered Wildlife Monitoring Project, the Balule Conservation Project or the Wildlife Ranger Course will also give you lots of exposure to Africa's wildlife! What's Included? - Johannesburg Airport collection and drop-off.
